Open Studio is a dedicated practice space for experienced circus students to work independently on the skills and techniques they’re developing. Bring your own goals, practice your apparatus skills, and make time to play, explore, and build confidence in an open studio environment with access to professional circus equipment and space.
Ground skills are welcome, too! You don’t need to be working on an aerial apparatus to participate.
How to attend:
You must email circus@payomet.org to receive approval before attending. Once you’ve received approval and registered for Open Studio, if you want to work on an aerial point, you’ll need to reserve a spot using the Open Studio sign-up link . Open Studio is intended for students who already have experience with their chosen skills and are comfortable practicing independently.
Ages: recommended for 16+
Schedule: Wednesdays, 4:30 - 5:45PM OR 7-8:15PM sessions
Dates: September 9 – October 14,
(9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14)
6-class session bundle: $60
Drop-in: $15
Location: Big Top Circus Tent at WHAT in Wellfleet, MA (off Rte. 6)
Limited to 9 sign-ups at a time.
