EVENT LOCATION: In your home via Facebook Live...FREE!
Live Early Stages: Animal Poetry with Alex Brewer
Friday, May 29 // 10:00am EST
Live streaming free on our Facebook page: facebook.com/payomet.org
Continuing where we left off last summer with our "Early Stages" events, local musician and poet Alex Brewer will be sharing animal-inspired poems by his favorite authors, along with original poetry and music. The subject matter (and in one case, the narrator) of these works are the animals you might find on any local farm.
Alex Brewer lives in Wellfleet, where he hosts the Feed Your Love open mic at Preservation Hall the third Wednesday of every month. He studied English at Colgate University and counts John Donne as one of his primary influences as a songwriter. “Donne's early stuff,” says Brewer, “before he became a bore.” [ LINK TO SHOW ]
