The Lone Bellow
"The choruses and harmonies in some of these songs on Half Moon Light from Americana trio The Lone Bellow will slay you. It is refreshing to have an album that brings us out of the darkness. Go ahead and sing along and/or dance." - Glide Magazine
The Lone Bellow – who will take the Payomet stage on Thursday, August 5 – burst onto the scene with their self-titled debut in 2013 and quickly became known for their transcendent harmonies, serious musicianship and raucous live performance – a reputation that earned them their rabid fan base.
With earthy three-part harmonies and songwriting as provocative as it is honest, the trio made up of guitarist Brian Elmquist, lead vocalist Zach Williams, and multi instrumentalist Kanene Donehey Pipkin creates sparks that make a stranger’s life matter or bring our sense of childlike wonder roaring back. In their newly released album, The Lone Bellow mix light and dark to muster a complex ode to memory, a call for hope, and an exercise in empathy. Anchored in the acoustic storytelling that first so endeared the band to fans and critics, their new music also takes more chances, experimenting with textures and instrumental fillips to create a full-bodied music experience. www.thelonebellow.com
